New Delhi, December 09: Six persons allegedly involved in at least 22 cases of burglaries were arrested in the capital, police said today.
The arrested have been identified as Kashim (30), Vikas Kumar (25), Sanjay (28), Vinod Thapa (25), Sakil (28) and Sanjit (24).
With their arrest, police claimed have worked out 22 cases of burglaries in Outer Delhi and recovered gold ornaments worth of Rs 6 lakh and two motorcycles purchased with cash collected by selling looted material.
“All six are involved in crime to lead a lavish life and spent most of their part of burgled booty in gambling,” a senior police official said.
They were arrested on December six from Prashant Vihar when they were allegedly on way to burgle a house.
