The Sivaramakrishnan Committee submitted its final report to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the new capital of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh here on Friday.
The report is likely to be uploaded on government website for public opinion. According to sources, the Committee has did not pin-point one place and suggested at least half-a-dozen options. It has also been indicated that the panel has recommended that the final decision on the location of new capital be assigned to the State Government.
The Committee, headed by KC Sivaramakrishnan, the former secretary of Urban Development, visited several locations before preparing its report within the stipulated deadline of August 31. (INN)
