An emergency meeting of Sunni Ulema Board was held under the chairmanship of its acting President, Maulana Syed Shah Hamid Husain Shuttari in Dabeerpura. The participants of the meeting held the view that the extraordinary situation prevailing in the city is part of an organized conspiracy. The structure abutting Charminar was a sensitive issue.
It could have been sorted out at Govt. level tactfully. Due to lack of farsightedness of the Govt., people were put to loss. It spoiled the Ganga-Jamuna civilization of Hyderabad. Govt. departments like Archaeological Survey of India, Endowment and Wakf Board should have thought this issue seriously. C.M’s decision caused greater loss to businessmen. To presume it an ordinary incident is like deceiving the public. They appealed to the Muslims to be peaceful.
