Hyderabad, March 19: A Special Investigation Team has been formed to step up the probe into the threat letter sent to Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru following his remarks when pro-Telangana lawyers boycotted court proceedings on March 8.
“So far five suspects, who were taken into custody, have been interrogated. We have got some leads and we will crack the case in the next 2-3 days. The SIT has been formed to speed up the probe,” Hyderabad City Commissioner of Police A K Khan told reporters here.
Police sources said a stamp paper vendor and a notary advocate from Ranga Reddy district were among those picked up for questioning as part of the investigation after Charminar Police registered a case on Wednesday.
