Former Minister and Congress MLA, Mr. K.Venkata Reddy had declared yesterday that all the protesters of Telangana March would sit at Necklace Road till Telangana State is declared. If police wants to open fire, let them shoot us.
He pointed out that the Govt. permitted for holding Telangana March after licking the boots of the Andhra Chief Minister right from the morning two days back.
He questioned, who is Vaylar Ravi? What does he know about the history of Telangana? Hundreds of students have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana. The people of Telangana are demanding their rights. Telangana was merged in A.P. in 1956. They are demanding to reinstate it.
He had declared yesterday that all the protesters would stay back at Necklace Road till separate Telangana is declared.
He told that if police wants to shoot, the leaders would present themselves for it.
Instead of declaring separate Telangana, Central Govt. is postponing it under the pretexts of festivals, elections etc. Whatever problems we have today, for all those, the ministers of Telangana are responsible.
Last year, all the M.P’s and MLA’s of Congress Party had resigned but the ministers were observing the show. He told that when he resigned, some of the ministers approached him and tried to persuade him not to resign from ministry. They had an apprehension that pressure will mount on them also to resign their ministerial positions. Telangana Ministers have no realization of the sacrifices made by the students. They are busy in flattering the Andhra authorities to save their power and authority.
He lamented that in order to organize a March in Hyderabad, we have to implore the Andhra rulers.
Despite giving permission for holding Telangana March, Govt. hatched conspiracy to sabotage it by using various tactics.
