With regard to the case involving death by burning of Master Mustafa of Siddique Nagar on the premises of Garrison 47th Infantry Bn. at Mehdipatnam on October 8, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner has stated that in view of the sensitive nature of the case requiring sustained and focused investigation, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted and is headed by Shahnawaz Qasim, IPS, to undertake a thorough investigation and establish the circumstances leading to the incident and the people responsible for the same.
The SIT comprises Shahnawaz Qasim, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mohd Ghouse Moinuddion, ACP, Detective Department, L. Raja Venkat Reddy, Inspector, Chaderghat PS, S. Ravinder, Inspector, Humayunnagar PS and Khaleel Basha, Addl. Inspector, Asifnagar PS.
The West Zone Police headed by Satyanarayana, IPS, DCP will continue to be part of the investigation and render all required assistance in detecting the case and brining the culprits to book at the earliest, the CP added. (NSS)
