New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met a team of 20 individuals who travelled to seven UNESCO sites within 12 hours by using public transport and praised their efforts to showcase that the mode of travel is safe and accessible.
The team members, between the age group of five years to 45 years, started their tour of UNESCO World heritage sites on Sunday from Keoladeo National Park and travelled to Bharatpur, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort, Taj Mahal, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort and finished the record at Qutub Minar.
“I thank the Quest team for choosing to travel on public transport across states and even making it their focal point that public transport in India is safe and easily accessible with particular reference to Delhi,” Sisodia said.
The team travelled from Agra to Delhi by Shatabdi train and deboarded at the Nizamuddin station from where the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) made arrangements in buses and Delhi Metro to help them in completing their mission.
