Sirsa, August 18: The District Bar Association (DBA) today decided to boycott a local court demanding action against the District and Sessions Judge for his alleged involvement in corruption.
The DBA unanimously decided to boycott the court of the District and Sessions Judge H P Singh for an indefinite period to press its demand for an inquiry against him for his alleged involvement in “corrupt practices.”
However, despite several attempts Singh was not available for comment.
DBA president Suresh Mehta and general secretary Amit Ganeriwala told reporters here that the association has sent a memorandum to the Chief Justices of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Supreme Court demanding action against Singh.
They warned, “in case any member of the DBA contravenes the boycott call he would be penalised”.
