Hyderabad: The Sirpur Paper Mills, which remained closed for several years, has resumed the production process last week. The first paper sheet produced in the re-started Mill, was presented to the former Minister and presently the Working President of TRS party, K T Rama Rao here yesterday.
MLA of Sirpur, Koneru Konappa, along with the Vice-President of the Factory Mayank Jindal, handed over the first paper to Rama Rao. They thanked Rama Rao who had made efforts for re-opening of the Mills as Minister in the previous Cabinet. Konappa stated that the Mills was re-opened due to the efforts made by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and former Minister Rama Rao. He said the production in the Mill started on February 8 and all the employees and workers were indebted to the TRS Government.
It may be mentioned that the Sirpur Paper Mills, one of the prestigious industry of Telangana, remained closed for several years now, and both the earlier Congress and TDP Governments have failed to get it re-opened. With the re-opening of the Mills, one more promise made by the TRS chief KCR was fulfilled, bringing cheers to large number of employees and workers.
