Sircilla: A constable was injured in accidental firing at the police headquarters near Thadur of Thangallapalli mandal on Friday evening. Y Satyanarayana was the constable of the State Armed Reserve. He sustained bullet injuries due to accidental fire from his service rifle – SLR, when he was loading magazine into the rifle.
The bullet pierced through the head from the left side of the jaw resulting in severe head injury. He was rushed to the Sircilla government hospital by his colleagues. When the condition deteriorated he was later shifted to Karimnagar hospital.
1995 batch constable Satyanarayana was on sentry duty at police headquarters when the tragedy occurred.
