A delegation of Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) called on Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, President Jamiatul Ulama-e-Andhra Pradesh and Mohammad Jani MLC, explained to them the state of affairs of Urdu schools of the state and various issues they are confronting with.
Brother Mujahid, secretary public relations, told that there is no facility of upper primary and high schools for Urdu students at various places, as a result thousands of students drop out after primary education. Schools lack infrastructure and there is paucity of trained staff too. Despite these facts the government has not sanctioned recruitment of Urdu posts for past several years. This lends the future of Urdu in danger.
Not all the vacant post included in the current notification issued for DSC are fresh, but have been vacant due to promotion, transfer or retirement. And the government is not taking any concrete measures.
