The State-owned Singareni Collieries’ workers set a record by producing 5.01 million tons of coal as against the target of 4.73 million tons last October, company’s Chairman & Managing Director N Sridhar has stated.
The SCCL CMD appreciated the team work of the staff and workers, who could put the production at 106 per cent. The company has so far transported 4.75 million tons of coal, he said, adding that this is 9.22 per cent more than last year. Sridhar also expressed satisfaction as the workers of the Singareni are showing their best performance. “We are on the growth path with better results of producing the coal this time”, Sridhar maintained. He also said they are getting ready to supply coal to thermal power projects. (NSS)
