Singareni Dismissed Staff Dharna On Sept 7

Telangana Praja Front (TPF) and Singareni Dismissed Workers Association will be jointly organizing ‘Chalo Hyderabad and Mahadharna programme on September 7 at Indirapark here from 10 am, demanding the State government to immediately take the dismissed workers back into service.

Releasing a poster related to the programme here on Friday, TPF state president Akula Bhumaiah alleged the Singareni management has dismissed 10,000 employees in the name of absence from work since the last 11 years. He said that the Singareni management and Singareni Dismissed Employees Association have entered in to an agreement to take back all dismissed employees from 2000 to 2010, into service on August 8, 2011. The Singareni management had called only 2249 dismissed employees for interview and it short listed only 66 dismissed employees. He criticized the Singareni Management for violating the agreement.

Dismissed Employees Association president Sridhar demanded the Singareni management to unconditionally implement the agreement. He urged the state government to intervene in the matter and see that the dismissed employees were taken back into service.

TPF vice presidents M. Vedakumar, M. Ratnamala and Pujari Narsinga Rao and Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika president Venkat were also present. (NSS)
