The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, K Shanmugam took part in Abhishekam Seva and offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara here today morning.
On his arrival, the Minister were accorded a grand reception by the Minister for Municipal Administration Narayana, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju and temple priests and escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum.
Inside the sanctum sanctorum, the priests explained to the Minister about the significance of the Lord and the jewels adorned to the presiding deity. The Minister of Singapore spent few minutes praying before the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara and later reached Ranganayakula Mandapam where he was given Vedasirvachanam by temple priests.
Dyeos Chinnamgari Ramana, Venkataiah, OSD Damodaram, Temple Peishkar R Selvam, Bokkasam Clerk Gururaja Rao, Parpatheyadar Naik and others were present. (NSS)
