Islamabad: Sindhi students of Islamabad held a massive rally in support of Sindhi political activists, who became the victim of enforced disappearances.
The group of students shouted pro-freedom slogans and condemn state-sponsored terrorism while demanding the release of missing Sindhi political activists.
The rally will culminate in the three-day hunger strike.
Since 2010, there have been over 1200 cases of enforced disappearance in Sindh. Around 160 people have disappeared since February last year.
These disappeared people are mainly human rights and political activists or journalists who have criticised government’s policies and actions against Sindhi people.
It is believed that the security forces abduct and capture them for anywhere.
Earlier, Pakistani forces have attacked the protest camp settled by the families of missing Sindhi political activists abducted by the Pakistani Military Intelligence and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
