Congress MLC Mr. Mohammed Farooq Husain has hoped that the minority budget will be impressive this time. Farooq Husain who departed for London on a private visit told Siasat on phone that Congress party is pro-minority party. During the 9 year rule of Chandrababu Naidu the minority budget was limited to just 36 crore. In 2004 when Congress party came to power the minority budget was hiked by a whopping Rs 489 crore.
The seriousness which Dr. Rajsekhar Reddy, Rosaiah and the present chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy showed in increasing the minority budget is remarkable. Mr. Farooq Husain told that Kiran Kumar Reddy has assured to increase the present budget with further Rs 1000 crore.
