Siddiqui family turns heat on Shaoib Malik

Hyderabad, April 02: Problems threatened to snowball for Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik with the family of a girl he is said to have wedded here threatening to file an FIR with the police if he went ahead with the marriage to Sania Mirza without divorcing their daughter.

Ayesha, who claims to have married Shoaib in 2002, today circulated purported copies of ‘nikahnama’ to Pakistani and Indian television channels and poured her heart out on the break-up.

The ‘marriage’ certificate was shown by several Pakistani television channels and apparently contained the signatures of Shoaib in the column for the groom and the name of Maha Siddiqui in the column for the bride.

To add to his problems television channels showed clips of Shoaib’s 2004 interview in which he had admitted to marrying Ayesha, who he had said was living in Hyderabad.
