New Delhi: Fashion designer Siddartha Tytler presented an amazing bridal ensemble at the last day of FDCI Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016.
For the first time, he moved beyond his forte of western outfits but quite subtly and beautifully blended the Indian style with western making the ensemble wearable for wedding, evening outings and fit for mix-match easy wear.
For grooms, the collection included sophisticated wedding Sherwani suits and a range of well-fitted waistcoats and bridal kurtas whereas collection for women comprised of jackets, Kali lehengas, anarkalis, sarees and elegant gowns.
Talking about his ensemble, Siddhartha Tytler said, “This is the first time I got an opportunity to showcase solo show at FDCI Amazon India Fashion Week. So, I wanted to bring out the Indian side of me with western influences which is my forte. Nothing in my collection is purely a wedding attire but can be mixed matched. It is for the bride of today who are wanting to move away from the cliched colours and look of bride. I have used a lot of prints on the lehengas or skirts with motifs of flowers and even colours were quite rustic and traditional.”
With a collection of subtle creams, beiges, vintage rose to rustic
colours, Siddartha has surely rejuvenated the wedding ensemble for the upcoming wedding season.
Spanning for five days, Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016
in association with Maybelline concluded on October 11 with ‘Born in Banaras’ Grand Finale show.
