Bengaluru : Karnataka Chief Minister Siddarmaiah on Thursday rubbished the allegations made by Janata Dal (Secular) state president H.D. Kumaraswamy over the 70-lakh watch controversy, saying the same was a second-hand accessory which was gifted to him.
“I’m a simple man. Kumaraswamy ji is simply making allegations against me,” Siddarmaiah told the press conference.
After drawing flak for his diamond studded Hublot watch, Siddaramaiah said, “It is a second hand watch gifted to me. I will pay the gift tax. I won’t wear it and will make a state asset,” he added. (ANI)
