Jammu, May 10: Three people including siblings were killed
today in firing over land dispute in a remote village of bordering
Ramgarh Sector of Samba district, police sources here said.
‘’Two parties entered into a scuffle with each other this morning
over a land dispute following which one of the groups opened fire
with single bore rifle in which two brothers were killed and their
uncle got seriously injured,’’ police here told.
The deceased were identified as Arjun Singh, Prahalad Singh, sons
of Sukhdev Singh while their uncle Gian Singh was critically
wounded.
‘’Profusely bleeding Gian Singh was shifted to the Government
Medical College Hospital Jammu but he succumbed later. Police,
however, said main accused identified as Rajinder Singh and Mohan
Singh have been arrested while manhunt is on to apprehend the
absconders.
‘’A case under sections 320, 147 RPC and Arms Act has been
registered against them and investigations are in progress.’’ the
Police added.
