Sibal urges youths to use their potential for better world

Union Minister for Human Resource Development Mr Kapil Sibal today called upon the young graduates to utilise their potential for making the world a better place for others. In his inaugural address at the 4th convocation of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) here, Mr Sibal said as graduates you are about to embark on your own extraordinary journeys and create your own life adventures and it is our responsibility to create and contribute something to the world, he said.

The new world will provide extra-ordinary opportunites for those who are prepared to face the challenge of change. Indeed, only those of us will survive and succeed in the new world,who will be ablve to anticipate change and also exploit change, he said. While explaing how the Padma Vibhushan Azim Hashim Premji, founder of Wipro who is among the top 50 richest people in the world, significantly contributing to achieve quality unviersal education and former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s remarks on the young minds, Mr.Sibal said the Maulana Azad after whose name this University was created firmly believed that Urdu language was aimed at bringing people from different faiths and religions together and thus bring about communal harmony.

Maulana’s vision of a learning society through secular, liberal, modern and universal education is still illuminating and guiding us for achieving education of all our children, he said. The Right of Chidren to free and Compulsory Education Act enacted by the National in 2009 is indeed a step forward in concretizing Maulana’s vision of free and compulsory education for all children, he stated.
