Siasat’s campaign for 12% reservations for Muslims getting popularity

Hyderabad: The campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily to create awareness among the Muslims for exerting pressure on the Govt. for providing 12% reservations to Muslims is gaining popularity in the districts. Many youths in Nirmal, Jogipet, Rajindra Nagar got the proforma published in Siasat got photocopied and made representations to revenue officials. The Muslim youths are impressing up on the Govt. that 12% reservation is their right and it is not a mercy. They are reminding that Mr. KCR had made a promise during the election campaign that he would provide 12% reservation to Muslim. Responding to his call, most of the Muslims voted TRS to resume power in Telangana State. By voting TRS, Muslim had proved that they are supporting a secular and sympathetic party. Now that TRS is delaying this scheme, many Muslims are anxious. They have an apprehension that if 12% reservation is not provided, they may lose many jobs which are likely to be filled up soon.

 

In Rajendra Nagar Mandal of RR District, Muslims presented the memorandum to RDO in which they demanded that KCR should fulfill his promise of providing 12% reservation to Muslims. The delegation of TRS leaders included Ms. Meera Begum, Mr. Mohammed Muzammil, Mr. Khalid, Mr. Mohammed Baseer, Mr. Ashwaq, Mr. Waheed, Mr. Praful Kumar Parikar and others. They thanked Mr. Zahid Ali Khan for leading this campaign.
