Siasat Helpline registered 400 applications

Hyderabad: Siasat has been offering free help to the candidates applying for various scholarship offered by the Govt. On the representation made by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Dept. of Minorities Welfare enhanced the upper age limit for students applying for financial assistance for study abroad from 30 years to 35 years. Govt. of Telangana has initiated this scheme for the first time in the country. This scheme is named as Overseas Studies Scheme for Minorities. Mr. KCR has taken special interest to launch this scheme. Under this scheme, every eligible student will get Rs. 10 lakh along with one way airfare. Applications can be registered online on http://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ . The last date of filing applications is 1st August. Such of the candidates whose parents’ income does not exceed Rs. 2 lakh are eligible to apply. Girl students have reservation under this scheme up to 35%.
