Hyderabad: Bihar floods have devastated several villages completely. Houses have been razed to ground. Poor people are living a very miserable life. Siasat Millat Fund has decided to carry out relief work in stages. Managing editor Siasat Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan and Secretary Siasat Millat Fund visited the flood-hit districts of Purnia, Kishanganj and Katihar and distributed relief among the people in distress.

According to unofficial sources 4000 people have been killed due to floods in Bihar. The above mentioned are inhabited by 60 to 70 percent Muslims. Their poverty has reached to such an extent that they don’t have clothes to cover their bodies. Their condition is worse than the tribals living in forests. There is no power supply. Transport facility is affected. Youth of the community are working as vendors to make both ends meet.

Young boys and girls expressed their wish to study but they don’t have schools in the villages. One of the boys pleaded to Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan ‘Sir! Please establish a school for us here’. Another girl wished to have a tailoring centre so that girls like her could support their families.

Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust also distributed tents among flood victims. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan told that a school will also be established in the affected area after consultation with Siasat Millat Fund and Secretary Faiz-e-Aam Trust.
