Presentation of award of Siasat-2013 function will be held today at 6:00 p.m. at Turab Ali Khan Bhavan, Salarjung Museum. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily informed that Mr. Syed Vicaruddin Quadri will be given Abid Ali Khan Award in recognition of his services from “Rahbar-e-Deccan” to “Rahnuma-e-Deccan” and his contribution to the cause Palestine. Mahboob Husain Jigar Award will be presented to Captain L.Pandu Ranga Reddy for his struggle to sustain Ganga Jamuna civilization of Hyderabad. Dr. Zeenath Sajida Award will be given to Prof. Syeda Jafer, former Head of the Department of Urdu, OU for her contribution in the field of history of Urdu literature, research and criticism. Mr. Syed Nasaruddin Vikhar will be given Sadiquain Award for his painting and wood carvings. In the same manner noted Urdu calligrapher, Mr. Mohammed Zameeruddin Nizami will get MF Husain Award. Luminaries from various fields will attend this award function.
