Siasat and dept of Arabic OU conduct Arabic classes

Hyderabad, April 4: Arabic is the language of the Quran, the last Prophet (pbuh) and the Paradise. Devotion to God and love of Prophet (pbuh) oblige that every Muslim should know Arabic. These views were expressed by various intellectuals while addressing the inaugural function of Arabic language teaching programme being jointly conducted by Siasat daily and department of Arabic, Osmania University on Sunday.

Prof Mustafa Shareef head of the department of Arabic, Osmania University said ‘today there is rising demand for Arabic knowing people. There are lucrative job opportunities available in Multi National companies for Arabic knowing people. He informed that Tata consultancy required 20 Arabic translators who were offered a salary of 1 to 1.2 lakh rupees.

‘In Karnataka state where BJP lead government is in power, Arabic education is provided on school level and there are 300 Arabic teachers. While in West Bengal 6000 Arabic teachers are employed. But in Andhra Pradesh there is no trend of Arabic education on school level. Siasat newspaper should pay attention towards it and make representation.” He said

The programme was presided over by Mr. Amir Ali Khan News editor Siasat daily.
Stressing the need to be familiar with Arabic language he said ‘after getting aware of Arabic language fear of God and humility would be instilled in our prayers.’
