Hyderabad, May 14: A Sub inspector belonging to Jubilee Hills police station has been transferred on the charges of misconduct and assaulting a citizen.
It has been told that city police commissioner A K Khan issued orders in this regard. However Jubilee Hills inspector has to say that no orders have been received in this connection so far.
According to highly placed sources Sub Inspector Narayan Reddy mistreated a man named Shaikh Hamed during search. He assaulted and insulted him.
Shaikh Hamed was going from Yousuf guda to Madina Pathergatti. He had some electronic items with him. Police stopped him for search. When Shaikh Hamed wished to go home early, Narayan Reddy got angry and slapped Shaikh Hamed later he was taken to police station.
The incident was brought to the notice of Commissioner Police A K Khan. Taking immediate action he transferred the sub inspector.
