Shun pistols & violent path, Kishan exhorts youth

Hyderabad: Stating that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was working on the tenets of Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar, Union Minister of Home for State G Kishan Reddy on Sunday called upon the citizens to shun pistols and violence as they will fetch nothing to the people and the country.

The Union minister conducted his padayatra in Rajmohalla and Vittalwadi localities in Kachiguda area after garlanding the statue of Ambedkar in Vittalwadi. Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy exhorted the youth not resort to Kashmir-type violence in the capital city where youths pelted stones at police personnel and raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. Such anti-national slogans should not be raised in the country, he added.

Kishan Reddy said he decided to interact with people on every Saturday and Sunday. Thanking his constituents for exercising franchise in his favor in the recent Lok Sabha election, Kishan Reddy interacted with the people and elicited their problems. The citizens narrated their tales of woes about drainage and roads.

Later, the Union minister visited the Sadhuram Eye Hospital at Domalguda and participated in the 45th annual celebrations of the hospital as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said the Centre had introduced Ayushman Bharat scheme for the benefit of the poor people. He also exhorted the private hospitals to work with a service motto and help the people. He lauded the Sadhuram Eye Hospital management for organizing free eye camps for the sake of poor people.
