Shrien Dewani gets teary eyed on fourth wedding anniversary

British Indian businessman Shrien Dewani reportedly got teary-eyed as he spend his fourth wedding anniversary in the Western Cape High Court standing trial for his wife Anni’s murder.

According to News 24, CCTV footage of him and his wife Anni presented in the court on Wednesday appeared to show two different sides to their relationship.

The first footage showed Dewani and Anni Hindocha entering a Strand mall to dine at a restaurant. The body language of the newlyweds gave the impression that all was not well between the pair.

The couple walked side by side, but not closely, and Dewani was later seen walking ahead of her, hands in his pockets, while Anni’s arms were crossed, the report said.

Meanwhile, in the second footage recorded earlier in the evening, the couple appeared to be happy and relaxed. As they waited for taxi driver Zola Tongo at the Cape Grace Hotel, Dewani took a picture of Anni and she could be seen smiling.

A visibly emotional Dewani was seen wiping a few tears from his eyes as the footage was shown in the court.

The India born British millionaire is accused of plotting the murder of his wife Anni on their honeymoon.

Anni was shot dead as the couple travelled in a taxi on the outskirts of Cape Town in November 2010. (ANI)
