Hyderabad, January 15: The evening was perfect, as the melodious voice of Shreya Ghoshal blended perfectly with the festive mood of the city’s denizens.
Despite Sankranthi festivities, a large number of music lovers turned up at the concert and the hall was almost choc-abloc.
The concert began with Shreya’s favourite Hindi numbers which were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. She was also very gracious in acknowledging requests.
“I was there to accompany my mom, but had a great time myself. She sang songs in various languages – Tamil, Telugu and Bengali too! And the fact that she did not deny any of the audience’s request was great,” exclaimed Aditi Agarwal, an assistant designer.
An ardent fan of Shreya, who was sitting awestruck in the audience had a lot to say about the musical sensation.
“I have been learning classical music since I was a toddler. When I first heard the songs sung by Shreya Ghoshal in her debut movie ‘Devdas’, I was mesmerised by her voice. Over the years, the feeling has not changed. I totally loved the concert, and was in complete awe of her,” opined Ramya, an enthusiastic fan.
The audiences couldn’t stop humming and clapping. The musical evening ended with the audience craving for – just one more song!
