Hyderabad, May 06: The alleged high-handedness of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) employees who reportedly pushed a devotee made the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) take cognisance of the incident and order a report on the issue from the Executive Officer of the TTD by June 22.
The petitioners – Mahalakshmi and her husband MVK Murthy – went to Tirumala and purchased Rs 500 ticket for the darshan recently.
When they were in the queue they alleged that the employees of the TTD pushed them down causing injuries to Mahalakshmi.
The annoyed couple today brought the issue to the notice of SHRC chairman B Subhashan Reddy, who called for the report.
Our Tirumal Correspondent adds: When contacted over phone by Express, TTD EO IVR Krishna Rao said that he would react only when he gets a copy of the SHRC notice.
