Hyderabad, June 16: The AP State Human Rights Commission on Tuesday directed the additional commissioner (Advertisements), GHMC, S Subba Rao and the west zone deputy commissioner of police to immediately remove an offensive advertisement on a hoarding in Banjara Hills.
Reacting swiftly to a news report published in these columns under the title `Indecent Exposures’ on Tuesday, SHRC chairperson B Subhashan Reddy directed the officials to remove the hoarding and produce the persons who prepared and erected it, before the Commission by 11 a.m. on June 17. The Commission, which termed the hoarding as obscene, objectionable and illegal, took cognizance of the matter suo motu based on the article.
