TRS leader T Harish Rao today made it clear that Seemandhra employees should start functioning from their own Secretariat rather than staying put in that of Telangana.
Talking to press persons at Telangana Bhavan here he said that on coming to power the TRS Government will take necessary action in this regard if they failed to budge. There will not be any “options” to the employees who have to shift to their Secretariat for 10 years he said. Since two states will be coming into effect from June 2 they must be prepared for a overhaul, Rao said. He accused the Congress leaders of deceiving the people of the region as they did nothing for the cause of statehood. They failed to impress upon the Center or Congress high command for the long pending demand of Telangana self respect through statehood. Since Secretariat is filled with 90 per cent of Seemandhra employees options will cost the job of Telangana people.
He sought to know the stand of the Telangana Congress leaders on their insistence with regard to options, Polavaram design change being sought by engineers, pensions and officials distribution based on nativity, independent admissions in educational institutions as it will have adverse effect on our students, special status to Telangana and other demands. Two states can separately conduct common admissions he said. The congress leaders failed to provide financial aid to Telangana farmers who suffered cyclone losses. The people of the region seeking to see an efficient leader to lead their government he said adding that the former should vote in favor of TRS which fought for the statehood. (NSS)
