New Delhi, Aug 7 : BJP leader and actor Shatrughan Sinha rubbished reports that he may leave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He stressed that his loyalty to BJP remains the same and that he has been through the party in its up’s and down’s.
“I am not leaving BJP. And if someone thinks that I am going then he or she is wrong. I am the first ever Bollywood actor to ever have joined this party. I have been with BJP ever since they had only two seats,” Sinha told the media here.
Defending his tweets once again on the suspension of 25 Congress MPs he said, “Opposition parties are not enemies but part of our society. To appreciate the opposition, even if they do good work,is not wrong.”
“I was inspired by Jaiprakash Narayan to join healthy politics and I don’t think if I laud the opposition my loyalty to my party can be questioned. Making cordial relations and friendship with everyone are just the basic etiquettes of politics,” he added.
Earlier, Sinha tweeted that he was ‘feeling unhappy about the developments in the Parliament and the expulsion of 25 learned MP friends’.
After the tweet went viral he offered a clarification on Twitter saying, “”Sincere request. Please don’t go overboard in reaction. I have only expressed my sadness that things have come to such a pass that the honorable and respected Speaker had to take such a strong decision.” (ANI)
