Dehradun, January 24: According to senior leader of Congress Party Digvijaya Singh, yoga guru Baba Ramdev is behind the shoe hurling at Rahul Gandhi. A shoe was hurled General Secretary of Congress Rahul Gandhi on Monday, while he was attending a rally in Dehra Dun.
“Baba Ramdev is a thug. He took commission while converting black money into white. An Enforcement Directorate enquiry is going on; he has got a notice worth Rs. 100 crore. Where did he get the money to buy an island from in Scotland? He sought the support of BJP and the RSS,” said Digvijaya Singh.
The shoe that was hurled at Rahul Gandhi fell 10 meters away from him. Congress Party has ordered an enquiry into the incident. The man has been identified as Kuldip and has been taken into custody. He is being interrogated.
The comment made by Digvijaya Singh comes in following Baba Ramdev blaming Congress for the ink attack on him, while he was addressing a press conference on the issue of black money. Ramdev’s left eye has been left blackened following the attack.
