Shocking revelation: Mohammed Shami was not aware of Hasin Jahan’s first marriage

NEW DELHI: Indian pacer Mohammed Shami made a shocking revelation that he was not aware of wife Hasin Jahan’s first marriage.

In an exclusive interview on India News with Deepak Chaurasiya, Mohammed Shami shared his side of the story.

Shami said that he did not know Hasin Jahan’s first marriage with Kolkata-based resident Sheikh Saifuddin and that it was a second marriage of Hasin Jahan with him.

It was reported earlier that Hasin Jahan had a love marriage with Sheikh Saifuddin, who is the owner of a ration shop which ended in 2010 after they divorced each other.

Jahan have two daughters from the first marriage, one daughter is 14-years-old and the other is 10.

The cricketer said he had no idea about it and neither Hasin has ever mentioned this to him.

The Ranji Trophy player for Bengal also added that he was told that the two daughters were her sister’s children.

Shami said he met Hasin Jahan, who was a cheerleader in an Indian Premier League (IPL) event in 2012. They had a conversation which progressed gradually and they both started dating.

The two tied the knot in 2014 after the family agreed and liked and have a beautiful daughter named, Aaira.

In the interview, Shami said that if the allegation of match-fixing is proved then I am ready to go to the gallows.

The Kolkata Police last week booked Shami and four others under various non-bailable and bailable sections after Jahan lodged a complaint of domestic violence and infidelity against the cricketer.
