A 65-year-old retired Judge and his wife allegedly jumped in front of moving trains on Friday near Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, states reports.
The bodies of the deceased were found on a rail track between Tirupati-Renigunta in the suburbs of the main town, TNM reports.
The deceased is identified as Pamuluru Sudhakar and was a former additional district judge from Tirupati. He is reported to have committed suicide at about 11 a.m while his wife, Varalakshmi, committed suicide at 4 pm in the same manner as her husband after she learned about her husband’s death.
A suicide note was recovered from the deceased Judge where he stated he could no longer bear the trauma of his kidney issue said deputy inspector.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem while the police are investigating the case.
The police added that the deceased couple is survived by a son and daughter both software professionals in Bengaluru. The couple was residing at an apartment in Tiruchanuru after the judge’s retirement.
