‘Shock therapy’ was inevitable to end corruption in the kingdom: Saudi Crown Prince

Riyadh: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has declared the new wave of reformation and his drive against corruption as the ‘shock therapy’. In an interview to American daily ‘Washington Post,’ he said that the measures were inevitable for the growth of cultural and political life and to crush the extremism in the kingdom.

According to Mohammed bin Salman, corruption is like cancer when it spreads, chemotherapy is inevitable otherwise it spreads to the entire body i.e. the society. He believed that without curbing the loot the budget target of the kingdom could not be achieved.

The Saudi Crown Prince told the American daily that though the number of corrupt princes was small the people surrounding them were more indulged in the evil. He told that except the 56 people arrested, the remaining have been released after collecting fine.
