NEW DELHI: It was not only former cricketer Mohamamd Kaif who was brutally trolled by right-wing brigade for congratulating Pakistani cricket team but former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar too slammed for showering his congratulatory messages to India.

The Pakistani pacer has shared a tweet praising both the teams for the splendour performances and also lauded Rohit Sharma for his breathtaking century.

He wrote, “Pakistan beats Australia in a thriller & now in decider Hindustan beats England comprehensively that goes to shows that subcontinent teams are so well equipped in shorter format .. But outstanding innings by Rohit Sharma..3 hundred in T20 is something else .”

However, some of the Pakistan fans were amused and accused Akhtar of trying to please the Indians.

Pakistan Australia by six wickets on Sunday in the final of the T20 tri-series. Pakistan top the ranking charts for T20Is, while India is ranked no.2 by the ICC.

Taking to Twitter, Kaif wrote, “Well done to Pakistan on winning the T20 series final against Australia. Great innings from Fakhar Zaman , looks a big match player. Congratulations #PakvAus,” Kaif’s post read.
