The Madhya Pradesh government has assured all possible help restore power infrastructure in cyclone-hit Andhra Pradesh.
A decision in this regard was taken by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after the Union Power Ministry and Andhra Pradesh government requested the State on the issue, official sources said.
In a letter to Madhya Pradesh Energy Secretary I C P Keshari, the Andhra Pradesh government stated because of Hudhud cyclone, the power distribution and transmission network was severely damaged and requested the Madhya Pradesh government to provide 1,100 distribution transformers of 100 KVA capacity and 550 of 63 KVA, besides 2,000 technical experts.
