Shiv Sena to take up cause of Marathi in Parliament

New Delhi, December 01: With the MNS seemingly eating into its ‘Marathi Manoos’ agenda, Shiv Sena has decided to take up the cause of Marathi in a big way in Parliament.

Sena MPs in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will speak in Marathi especially on issues close to the heart of the people of Maharashtra and concerning the development of the state, party MP Bharat Kumar Raut said.

Former Union Minister Anandrao Adsul spoke in the Lok Sabha in Marathi today as part of the decision arrived at a meeting of the Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party. Adsul made a strong plea for the welfare of tribals in Amravati district.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi is Shiv Sena’s Parliamentary Party leader and Anant Geete its leader in the Lok Sabha.
