Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: The Shiv Sena on Wednesday criticised the Centre for being silent on the recent Krishna Ghati incident.
“It was claimed that we would get 40 heads of Pakistan jawans for one head of our jawan, but nothing like this has happened as yet. The government is not of the Congress now, but ours. Instead of giving a befitting reply to Pakistan, we are getting a good bashing from it. If this does not end at the earliest, then the atmosphere of nation will be ruined,” Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told ANI.
Putting aside the option of surgical strike, Raut said it would further worsen the situation.
“What will happen with a surgical strike? What happened when the previous surgical strike was done? It will even worsen the situation. If Pakistan was afraid of it, it would have not dared to kill our soldiers by entering our soil,” he said.
Shifting his focus to demonetisation, Raut said, “Terrorism and naxalism have increased due to demonetisation. Circulation of fake notes of Rs. 2,000 has already begun in the economy. There should be a debate on the policy and a decision be taken.”
On Tuesday, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said Prime Minister Modi was still talking about ‘Mann ki Baat’, when he should be talking about ‘Gun ki Baat’, hinting at a well-planned military strike against Pakistan.
“Soldiers are dying on the border. Women are getting widowed, and our Prime Minister is still talking about his ‘Mann ki Baat’. It’s time he talked about ‘ Gun ki Baat’.”
On Monday, the Pakistan Army killed and mutilated two Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector of the Poonch district.
The Indian Army said this despicable act of the Pakistan Army would be appropriately responded.
Pakistan denied India’s charges and described itself as a highly professional force that never disrespects any soldier.
Earlier today, The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday summoned Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit, and demanded action against the Pakistan Army personnel responsible for the mutilation of two Indian Army soldiers at Krishna Ghati sector in Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
