New Delhi: Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja on Monday said that protest by the Shiv Sena against former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri’s book launch is highly deplorable, adding that they are playing cheap anti-Pakistan politics which is not in the interest of the country.
“It shows the Shiv Sena’s intolerance and how they are against efforts to build good neighborly relations with Pakistan,” he said.
Raja said the Shiv sena is doing cultural fascism and playing cheap anti-Pakistan politics which is not in the interest of the country.
“If the Shiv Sena continues to do such things, they will be called a force which is trying to impose fascist dictat on the people. This cannot be tolerated and should be condemnable by everybody,” Raja told ANI.
The Shiv Sena has been vehemently protesting against Kasuri’s book launch, saying it was an insult to the Indian soldiers who had died in the recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan. The Shiv Sena has warned that there would be repercussions if the event was not cancelled. (ANI)
