Shiv Sena non-committal over Headley’s assertion

Mumbai, May 24: The Shiv Sena today appeared non-committal over the testimony by David Coleman Headley ,a prime accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, that he had visited the party headquarters in the city.

Headley told Chicago court judge Harry D Leinenweber that he had visited the Sena headquarters in Mumbai and also built contact with one Rajaram Rege, which he (Headley) claimed was a public relations officer (PRO).

“There is no post like PRO in Shiv Sena as told by Headley. But we are seeking information on Rajaram Rege and if we get any information we will give it to the intelligence agency or police,” party spokesperson Sanjay Raut told reporters here.

Sena Bhavan has always been on target of terrorists, especially LeT, ISI, and al-Qaeda. Hundreds of people are registered as sainiks and many visit the Bhawan everyday, Raut said.
