Police have filed a case against Shiv Sena MLA from Vaijapur, R M Vani, for allegedly assaulting three engineers of the Maharashtra irrigation department following a row over release of canal water.
Engineer R Jatrak had filed a complaint against the MLA stating that latter manhandled him and two of his colleagues
when they were inspecting the water level at a local canal, police said.
On the other hand, Shiv Sena workers alleged that irrigation department was not paying heed to tehsil’s water
woes.
