Shiv Sena attempting to ‘break’ India: Brinda Karat

Chennai: Communist Party of India (Marxist) polit bureau member Brinda Karat on on Monday condemned the ink attack on ORF chairman Sudheendra Kulkarni and said this is competitive intolerance, communalism and politics not to ‘Make in India’ but break India.

Karat also took a jibe at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

“This is a reflection of the atmosphere of total intolerance which is being created by the RSS and its likeminded organisations and the Shiv Sena wants to go one step forward. This is competitive intolerance, it is competitive communalism, competitive politics not to ‘Make in India’ but break India. We strongly condemn it,” she told ANI.

Kulkarni was allegedly attacked by the Shiv Sena workers earlier today for refusing to back down from organising former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri ‘s book launch.

Following the attack, Kulkarni announced that he has no intention of scrapping the book launch and will go ahead with the event. (ANI)
