London, October 12: Bollywood actress and former Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty has been landed in legal net.
Shilpa Shetty’s firm V8 Gourmet Group has been sued for 6 million pounds by Jamal Hirani, former owner of fast-food chain ‘Tiffinbites’.
At present, the actress has acquired the fast-food chain ‘Tiffinbites’ under new brand V8 Gourmet Group.
Jamal Hirani moved the High Court against Shilpa for his unfair and forceful sacking.
Earlier, Hirani approached an industrial tribunal and filed a lawsuit against Bollywood diva for making his forceful exit from the Tiffinbites.
In his lawsuit, he had claimed more than 1.5 million pounds.
In his new plea, Hirani said that he was forcefully removed by the colleagues and the restaurant was reopened under the leadership of Shilpa Shetty with new brand V8 Gourmet Group.
“I had 30 percent stake in the firm and they disassociated me on false grounds,” Hirani alleged.
