Shilpa Shetty might make comeback soon

New York : Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who has been away from the silver screen for some years now, says she might make a comeback soon.

Asked if she has plans to return to face the cameras for a film, Shilpa said here: “Soon. I have been offered something, let’s see if I bite the bait.”

The actress spoke here on the sidelines of an awards function here last week.

Among the current crop of actors, Shilpa says she is really fond of Alia Bhatt, who won the IIFA Best Actress Award for “Udta Punjab” here on July 15.

“Whatever work she does, she excels in it. She really likes to outdo herself with every film and takes on risky roles.”

Anil Kapoor dealing with leg problem

Actor Anil Kapoor is troubled by a problem in his leg, but that isn’t deterring him from carrying out promotions for his upcoming film “Mubarakan”.

“I have a little leg problem,” Anil said while he was in New York for the 18th edition of the IIFA Weekend and Awards just for two days.

But he preferred to talk about his forthcoming film rather than his health issue.

“I am loving the film’s promotions and I loved working with Arjun (Kapoor) in the movie.”

He also said the work is on to ensure the Indian adaptation of “Modern Family” starts by next year. And also, the audience can expect a third season of “24”, he said.

Anil also spoke about how happy he is that his daughter Sonam Kapoor is dabbling in “girls oriented” films like “Veerey Di Wedding”.

“She is doing roles which all young girls can identify with,” said the proud father.

Want to produce films in all regional languages: Sonu

Actor Sonu Sood has acted in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi films. Now he wants to even produce films which cater to regional interest.

Asked about his vision as a film producer, Sonu told IANS here: “I think I just want to work hard… Film production is something new in my life. I am learning my lessons.

“I want to produce films in all languages… This is a dream of a boy who comes from a small town… There are miles to go, but the journey is on.”

Sonu is also producing a biopic on badminton ace P.V. Sindhu.

“We are almost on the final stages of locking on the script,” he said.

“If wishes were horses, beggars would ride,” Sonu commented when asked if Deepika Padukone could be the leading lady in the film. However, he said he will approach all those who he feels would be apt to play the role.
