Shift people in RTC buses to WTC: CS tells Collectors

Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed all district Collectors to make arrangements for transporting people fond of Telugu language and literature to World Telugu Conference on inaugural day at LB Stadium on December 15 and concluding day on December 19 in the city.

During a video conference with the district Collectors from Secretariat here, Singh directed the Collectors to press some 500 to 550 buses to shift the people in large numbers from the districts to the State capital. He also instructed them to make better publicity for the program. Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the WTC at the LB Stadium on December 15 at 6 pm and President Ram Nath Kovind will participate in the concluding program on December 19, he said.

During the inaugural, Governors ESL Narasimhan, Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, VVIPS and others will attend. To make the event a grand success, the officials should provide facilities to the delegates to avoid any inconvenience. The World Telugu Conference is the prestigious program as it promotes Telugu language throughout the world, he said. In addition to Hyderabad, WTC will be conducted in other districts, including Siddipet, Warangal (Urban and Rural). He asked the Collectors concerned to press 30 special busses from Karimnagar district, 20 buses each from districts of Sanga Reddy, Medak, Yadadri-Bhongir, Jangaon, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad, 15 buses from Kamareddy, 10 buses each from Vikarabad and Khammam and five buses each from the remaining districts.
