New Delhi, April 09: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today inaugurated the renovated Chhatrasal stadium in the national capital which will be the training venue of the track and field events of the Commonwealth Games.
The stadium has been renovated at a cost of Rs 70 crore in view of the ensuing Commonwealth Games.
On the occasion, Dikshit said her government would complete all projects linked to the Games within the stipulated deadlines.
The renovated Chhatrasal stadium has a 400×8 metre synthetic athletic track apart from a double-storeyed new athletic block. It also has a parking facility for 464 vehicles and a physiotherapy centre, medical room and two separate lounges for male and female athletes.
Dikshit also appealed to the people to render cooperation in making the Commonwealth Games a grand success.
